The Gastrotypographicalassemblage was conceived by Lou Dorfsman, the legendary art director. The wall was created for the CBS cafeteria, where is was displayed for a number of years. During the 1980’s the wall was unceremoniously removed, and since that time, it has been in storage, safe but slowly deteriorating. The Center for Design Study, an Atlanta-based not-for-profit, is raising money to restore the wall, so it can be exhibited.
The Center for Design Study believes that we are obliged to preserve important works of design, ensure that they are available for generations to come and to make them accessible to future generations.
We must save this piece of design history.
