Lamija Suljevic

Lamija Suljevic is part of the new generation of Swedish designers. Born in Bosnia, she pays tribute to their roots and origins in this latest collection drawing inspiration from the Balcans. Inspired by handicraft and luxurious old hand-made techniques, her goal is to bring back handmade crafts.
This collection will be shown during the Stockholm Fashion Week between the 15th-22nd february.

On the one hand she’s allowing her childhood memories to play and unfold in a romantic Parisian vision where floating volume contrasts elegance touch, finding this delicate broder between beauty and brutality.
With braiding, embroidery, pleats and laces the little girls playfulness is mixed with avant-garde details and inspired handwork. Her ultimate goal has always been to bring back the hand-made.
On the other hand Lamija’s work is always ready to push boundaries between art and luxurious fashion.

This wonderful collection shoted by Emma Jönsson Dysell and styled by Tekla Knaust with the model Olivia R. and hair stylist Nina Belkhir.

Many thanks to Lamija to have submitted us her work, lovely discovery.
